Viva La Robots!

PROTERUS - SEVERED ROBOT HEADS

The Proterus line of severed bot heads is based on my own designs. This is a solid resin piece is a fusion of threeA and Transformer influences, and looks great when displayed alongside 1/6th and 1/12th scale figures, all the way through to G.I. Joe and Star Wars figures.

The Proterus heads are a very limited run, and I only have Tigris Redemptor (the orange one) left. They were all lovingly created by myself, and hand cast. As such, their imperfections make each one unique, giving each something of a battle-damaged look to the rear sensitive circuitry at the backs of their heads.

The Proterus line of robots were created by the broken machine-god Techius to hunt down militant heretical groups.

These robots were designed with thick body armour, and were made to operate in a wide range of terrestrial environs, including desert, forest, savannah, and urban areas. An assassin variant was also created to capitalise on the night time vulnerabilities of the heretics.

A single squad of Proterus robots could lay waste to an entire village of heretics. Their one weak spot was the backs of their heads where circuitry protruded.

Most Proterus robots were destroyed by various heretic cells. Many Proterus heads were decapitated and kept as trophies, and they often display marks made by small arms fire, heat stress fractures, and explosive scorch marks.

Severed heads of Proterus robots now hang proudly from village walls, chieftain huts, and near communal courtyards - a warning that the false gods' reign is coming to an end.

Tigris Redemptor
Tigris Redemptor - the Jungle Demon. Tigris perfected the arts of guerrilla warfare. He honed the act of the hunt, combining patience and cruelty into a new art-form as he tormented the people of the Jungle of Forateria. Tigris racked up over two-hundred bare-handed murders before he met his electronic demise at the hands of a suicide EMP bomber. Now his head rests in the Greenfiend Swamps and rusts, as random bursts of electricity sporadically re-start his booting sequences before shutting him down again almost instantly.

This piece has been exquisitely hand-painted by the very talented Gerard Kelly, and comes complete with its swampland base.

Terminus Rex
Terminus Rex was fueled by insatiable curiosity before he was destroyed. He sought to discover what made his human targets tick, and there's nothing he liked more than to rip the answers from his victims himself. Diabolical, yet impersonal, Rex prided himself on his professionalism - except during his private research time, when his maniacal laughter rang throughout the Blood Catacombs.

Transformers

It gladdens my heart so much to see a toy line that I loved as a kid prosper so much. Transformers changed my life. I still remember watching my first cartoon and rushing off afterwards to tell my parents about it. While there have been good Transformer toys coming out recently, nothing compares to the originals. If you're a collector, like me, there's a flood of re-issues, third party homage figures, and knock-offs that tug at the old nostalgia strings - and it's becoming easier to set up a decent looking display to indulge in your robot feti... ahem, collection.

Weirdwolf - Headmaster - KO/Reissue
This is a knock-off/reproduction of the original Generation 1 Headmaster - Weirdwolf with Monzo!  G1 Transformers are the best and I especially loved those figures that came with small robots - like Headmasters and Targetmasters.

Star Wars

Hasbro - Death Star Trooper - Power of the Jedi 12" figure
This massive 30cm (12") Legacy Collection figure was made by Hasbro back in 2001.  The Death Star Trooper represents the cold, murderous efficiency of the Death Star, and worked in the Death Star itself, often in the prison areas.  His black uniform and helmet are iconic, and he comes with a blaster and a uniform cap, and is depicted as seen in Episode IV - A New Hope.  Let's just hope there are no rebels around!

Starriors

Another of my all-time favourite robot toy lines.  Starriors were basically humanoid Zoids - robotic in nature with interchangeable parts.  They had a wind-up feature too which was linked to their individual weapon (which was often emplaced in their torso or one of their arms).  Their heads supported transparent cockpits, and inside you could see little silver men - who were either pilots or their human-shaped AI brains, depending on what sort of story you wanted.

These listings are for bi-lingual/Canadian packaged versions of the toy, and they all have their mini comics packaged within.

Starriors - Cut-Up
Cut-Up is a great figure with a massive silver rotating saw blade in his chest.  He's grey and blue, and while he's technically a good guy, his bio paints him as something of a sociopath who wants to saw his enemies to death with his chest blade!

Starriors - Crank

Starriors - Saw-Tooth

Transformers BUSTS- DIAMOND SELECT

These Diamond Select Toys Transformers Busts are wonderfully sculpted by Mark Wong, and are limited edition pieces. They come with a Certificate of Authenticity and a hand-numbered base. Obviously as a mini statue, they do not transform. They are new in box (NIB) and I have taken a couple of pictures of each box (which may show signs of shelf wear) - please check them out as each item is sold 'as is'. Diamond Select Busts are designed for adult collectors and are not intended for use by children.

Dirge
This is a listing for 'Dirge' - he's the blue guy on the right with the light brown wings. Dirge is a Decepticon Jet, like Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Ramjet, and Thrust - who are now known as 'Seekers'.  Dirge does look fantastic, and each of the Seeker sculpts have little details that separate them from their brothers - Dirge has unique arm-blasters and wings.

Thrust
Of the three 'new' G1 Seekers (original jet planes), Thrust is my favourite. He has these cool vent-things on his wings that none of the other Decepticon Jets have, and he looks like a tougher robot than the others as a result. Thrust is the red guy on the box to the far left. This bust of him has arm blasters that are sculpted to look the most like the original Decepticon Seekers' arm blasters from the cartoons. He's a rare find, and a worthy item of interest for any Transformers fan.

Bumblebee
Here is perhaps the second most famous Transformer in existence - Bumblebee! Who would have thought that painting a spy/infiltrator bright yellow would be a good thing? Bumblebee has long been a fan favourite ever since the cartoons in the early 80s, where he befriended the Autobots' human allies Spike and his father Sparkplug. Bumblebees original box quote was "the least likely can be the most dangerous" - and certainly he was a huge thorn in the Decepticons' sides. This bust of Bumblebee is a great piece as it merges the looks of the cartoon Bumblebee with the aesthetics of the original toy.

Megatron Reformatted
There are a few busts going around with Megatron and a purple base - but this version of Megatron has UNICRON as his base! The base is exquisitely detailed, and so is Megatron. This version of him is taken from the original Transformers movie, when Megatron has been fatally wounded and left for dead by the Decepticons. Unicron, a monster planet with god-like powers, restores Megatron with the iconic words 'Arise, Galvatron!', and the villain of the next wave of Transformers was born.  The box shows some signs of wear, like that little bit of white on the front right corner of it, but it's condition is easily countered by the fact that this piece is a relatively early number in the run, at '104'.

G.I. Joe

Everyone knows G.I. Joe. To help keep the line of toys alive during the 90s, Hasbro introduced crazy, vibrant colours. While the colours may have been a little jarring, many of the molds of the toys were excellent, and some of the figures from 1992, such as those of the Battle Corps, are considered among the best of the vintage range of G.I. Joes.

Snow Storm - G.I. Joe - Battle Corps
Battle Corps' 'Snow Storm'!  He was going to be part of GI Joe's Eco Warriors before that particular line was cancelled and he was relegated to being a Battle Corps character.  He's a high-tech snow trooper with amazing firepower and special clothes to keep him alive in the most frozen of wastes!  Please note there is a slight bend in the card on the left-hand side of this picture.

Zibits

Zibits are a great line of remote control robots!  Just like miniature R2-D2s, they have lights that flash and they play sounds as they scoot across the ground.  There are many wonderful accessories you can buy for Zibits, including tracks and interesting places for your little robot pals to visit!  Each Zibit is approximately 6cm-7cm tall, and comes with its own remote.  These Zibits are brand new in their boxes (NIB); the boxes themselves may show some very minor  signs of shelf wear, and these great little robots are sold 'as is'.

Gek & Tank 2-pack
For some reason this pair reminds me of the struggle between Batman and the Joker.  What?! I hear you say in astonishment.  Well, the green and purple Gek seems to have a little bit of a crazy streak to him, just like the Joker... while Tank appears to be the strong, silent type, just like old Batsy!  Either way, this pair has the right amount of ingredients in the mix for some interesting interaction!

Revoltech

RevolTech figures are renowned for their patented joints and their fantastic poseability! They're great if you want to recreate cool scenes of robots fighting each other, caught mid-action! I have taken a couple of pictures of each - please check them out as each item is sold 'as is'. Please note that as Japanese collectibles, much of the printing on these boxes is in Japanese, not English.

There's no mistaking Char's Zaku - just look at that hot pink paint job!  Please note that the plastic window on Char's Zaku box has come loose on it's left side.  I've knocked a couple of dollars off the price as a result.  But maybe you open your toy boxes anyway, and don't care about that packaging stuff - then by all means save a few bucks and get this hot little number.

SD Gundam - Brave Battle

All of the Gundam models below are BB (Battle Brave) SD Gundams - which stands for 'Super Deformed'. That's what the style is called, anyway. I simply call it awesome. It means their heads are huge, and their bodies are small, making them appear highly stylised and cute! Each model when built stands around 7 or 8cm tall.

The best thing about these models is that you do not need any glue or paint to assemble them, so that even numpties like me can put them together and get great results - and they're great if you want to start getting your children or nephews/nieces into model building. All parts clip together, and each toy comes with stickers. Of course, if you're more skilled than I, than you can add a layer or two of paint to create masterpieces. (Please note that the easy to follow instructions are in Japanese.)

Buy two BB Gundam, pay only once for postage! Send me an email and let me know if you are going to buy multiples and I'll try to save you every cent I can. If you purchase more than one here, I will reimburse you the combined postage cost difference.

Thundercats - Bandai

Thunder... Thunder... ThunderCats - Ho!  Well, how else was I going to intro these amazing ThunderCats toys?  They are based off the 2011 version of the ThunderCats - which was a reboot of the original '80s ThunderCats.  The new cartoon style was very anime, and strove for a darker edge than the originals.  Still, it had strong characterisation and great visuals, and the toys from it have become very desirable for collectors of all ages.

I'll consider offers if you would like to purchase these ThunderCats figures as a complete lot for greater savings - and if you're a local (i.e. in Brisbane), then I'd be happy to work out alternate delivery arrangements to save you even more money!

Mumm-Ra Storm Charger Deluxe Vehicle - includes Mumm-Ra
The evil counterpart to the Thundercats' Thunder Tank - here is Mumm-Ra's Storm Charger! This massive toy is basically a tank for the main villain of the Thundercats, Mumm-Ra, and includes an exclusive light up figure of Mumm-Ra. The tank itself is huge, and has lights and sounds (3 AA batteries are needed to take full advantage of this vehicle of destruction). While it is built for the new Thundercats line, it's about the same size as G.I. Joe figures and Star Wars figures, so there's a lot of cross-overs you or your kid(s) could play out! This is new in sealed box (NISB).

Lionel revolvers - retro toy cars

Lionel made these Revolvers cars in the very late '80s. They are a very cool little retro toy. They were like Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars of the time, but with a special gimmick! You could simply turn them over and suddenly you have a different looking car. Great for imagined police chases! These are new Revolvers cars, still sealed in their bubbles on their cards. The cards may have some warping due to age, but the toys themselves are pristine. I have taken a couple of pictures of each - please check them out as this item is sold 'as is'. I can fit a few of these guys in the same box for combined postage discounts.

Gnaw - Sharkticon - K.O./Reissue
This is a high quality knock-off/reproduction of the original G1 Sharkticon - Gnaw!  He really does look the business, and while there are small tell-tale clues as to his modern construction he still portrays the magic of an original Transformer to any fan.  He comes with an instruction booklet and stickers, and if you check out his 'back' pic below, you'll see that he comes with tech-spec and original G1 artwork of the time.  The reproducers of this figure have really done a marvelous job in recreating Gnaw as best they can.  I can't recommend it enough.

Play Arts Kai - Commander Shepard by Square Enix (Mass Effect 3)
This great rendition of the Mass Effect 3 video game hero Commander Shepard stands around 21cm tall.  He's made by Play Arts Kai, so you know he will be good quality, and has over 26 points of articulation.  This deluxe figure comes with a pair of swap-out hands, his Omniblade, his Eagle Pistol, and his Valkyrie Rifle.
Box he comes in displays well too - you can open it like a book and see Commander Shepard in there, all calm, with his accessories floating around him, trapped in plastic.  There's also a bit of a spiel about the good Commander too.  Yep, looks good all-round! Mint in Sealed Box (MISB).

Robotech Robolinks - complete box set - by Revell, 1985 (used)
Robolinks were actually a part of the Robotech brand back in the mid-80s, and were made by Revell. These guys represent a lot of fun - you can combine them to make an almost unlimited number of vehicles and robots! This is a listing for a USED but complete rare box of five Robolink robots, presented with the original box, accessories, and instructions. As these are in a USED condition, please see all of the pictures available below - I have taken a lot of pictures - as this item is sold 'as is'. This boxed set is a must-have for toy collectors!

Outback
Outback... You'd think he'd be born in Australia, but no.  This survival specialist is a home-grown yank, and I bet he dyes his beard that colour just to match his suspenders!  Still, he's a great looking figure with a huge cannon and three large guns.  I've just noticed that there is a crack down the side of his bubble, so I've knocked a couple of dollars off his price.  It's hard to notice the crack, and for those of you who would open him, it won't even matter.  Otherwise, the card is in great condition!

Muskrat
While the picture on the card has Muskrat in a terribly awkward position, he's a great figure!  His chest piece has fantastic detail, and he comes with a helmet and firing rocket launcher as well as several guns (well, he is the heavy-fire specialist).  A great looking Joe!

Muv-Luv 001 - Alternative Takemikazuchi - Type-00R
I know... it's a kind of an unfortunate name, but if you can look past the name you will see that there is an awesome robot lurking withing that cool purple cardboard box! This is Kaiyodo's Muv-Luv Takemikazuchi Type-00R Shogun Custom; and it looks like the cross between a mech from Gundam and a mech from Evangelion. As I said, very cool. He has many points of articulation, and comes kitted out with two pairs of hands, a gun, two short swords, wings, and a display base.

Desert Zaku II
Desert Zaku looks like he'd be right at home in Afghanistan or any other war-torn country, hiding behind a wall as he prepares his bazooka.  I pity the fools who'd try to stand up against him!  He has a few nice little touches around the place to make him stand out from the other Zakus, like the decals on his chest.

Machine Tornador - S.I.C. by Bandai
This fantastic motorbike is from Kamen Rider Agito.  Bandai have given it the S.I.C. treatment, and it is wonderfully stylised and highly detailed.  parts of the bike move to accommodate the 'slider mode' seen in the show, and it was made with Agito in mind so that he can pose while astride the Tornador.

centurions

Centurions... one of my all-time favourite cartoon series of the 80s. As a lover of robots, how could I resist the allure of cartoon characters who were merging 'man and machine' (Power Xtreme)! The toys that Kenner made were top-notch. They were huge (for the time), and stood over all but the tallest Transformers, and they were customisable in that you could attach whatever weapon systems you wanted (or... well... had) to create your own fusion of war machine. Such high quality toys came at a hefty price back in the day, which was one of the main contributors to the Centurions' eventual demise. Still, Centurions are highly sought after by collectors, and finding a Centurion still in its box is a rare thing indeed.

Hacker
I present to you - Hacker!  All the way from 1986.  He's 'new in box' (NIB) and as far as I know has never been removed.  As you can see through the box's window he's still firmly attached to his backing card.  Hacker was the henchman to the evil Doc Terror, little more than a mindless thug... but I always thought he looked cool - way more terrifying than his boss!  As a kid I swore that if I was going to get cybered up, I'd want to look just like Hacker.  Please note that the plastic window at the front of the box has come loose along the box's left side, and the box is in a fairly worn condition.  Still, this is a very rare find - as are any boxed Centurions figures.  If my partner bought me this, I'd buy them dinner for a week.  Just sayin'.

GN-U Dou MACROSS PLUS Battroids by YamAto

GN-U Dou are small deluxe, non-transforming figures that are built for posing and displaying.  The boxes that they come in are also of a high quality, and present well for those collectors (like myself) who like to display their items in the condition they are bought.

These GN-U figures are around 14 cm tall, and are 'new in box' (NIB). Box may show slight signs of shelf-wear. GN-U Dou items are intended for adult collectors, and may not be suitable for children. I have taken a couple of pictures - please check them out as each item is sold 'as is'. Please note that much of the printing on the box is in Japanese, not English.

YF-21 Battroid - Robotech
Here is the blue YF-21 in robot mode - or 'Battroid' mode, as it is called. This sleek little guy comes with a gun pod and three optional hands so you can pose him in many different ways. His colouration makes him very unique, and he's the 'Limited - Decorated Coloring Model', making him just that little bit more special. A must have for Robotech and Macross fans - he's just itching for battle alongside his Battroid brothers!
